Rainy Day blogfest

Since rain plays a major role in my first book, I jumped at the chance to join the Rainy Day blogfest. Any other takers amongst my blogger buddies? And, since I have so much rain in my book, I need more than one blogfest to be able to do the scenes I want to do, so here is the Weather Blogfest!

  1. I hadn't heard of this one and I generally don't do these because I'm not organized enough but I will take a look, thanks Ted!

  5. Love that pic, but since it's still winter here and I've seen enough rain lately, think I'll avoid it ;)

  6. The weather blogfest?! How great. So, you say that rain plays a big role in your book, what's it about? How's it going?

  7. Erin, I grew up in Arizona with a monsoon season every July. I took that idea and had it be much worse than usual during the summer that my story takes place. So, there is a period of about a week where the rains come non-stop and turn everything into mud, killing most crops, just at the time that the army is trying to march against the elves. I have a couple of sombre scenes that I want to try out for people here.

  8. Weather is an inanimate character of sorts in my books. I contrast the settings of a nasty snowsotrm in Boston to sunny warm Southern California. I think weather should play a prominent role in a story.
